The Hyogo Museum of Ceramic Art was established to promote the culture of ceramic art throughout the prefecture and deepen interaction among people through ceramics.
Museum projects include exhibitions of old and contemporary ceramics, collection and preservation of materials, study and research, training of human resources to undertake the next generation of ceramic art culture, interaction with schools, and creation and learning projects such as ceramic art workshops and ceramic art culture courses. In addition, the Museum aims to create an eco-museum environment that makes use of local cultural resources and an abundant natural environment.

The exhibition building, which can be approached from the 3rd floor entrance, has 2 rooms on the 1st floor, 2 rooms on the 2nd floor, and 1 room on the B1 floor, for a total of 5 exhibition rooms.
