Sasayama Kasuga Noh play held every April in Tambasasayama. Due to repairs of the Kasuga Shrine stage the performance has been postponed to September 22nd, 2024. Although the repairs are still ongoing, the completion is expected to be in September 2024. Therefore, Sasayama Kasuga Noh play will be held on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.

This Noh stage was presented to the shrine by Aoyama Tadanaga the lord of Sasayama Castle in 1861. He was known as a Noh enthusiast.

While the cherry blossoms flutter around in the spring breeze, the subtle and profound world of Noh and Kyogen (Noh comedy) unfolds on the traditional Noh stage, which this year(2021) is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
