Dress Up and Come On Over! Tambasasayama Kimono Walking Campaign
In Tambasasayama City, there are many beautiful scenes including stunning rural landscapes and various historical sites. The Sasayama Castle Town and the Fukusumi area, which are both located within Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings. There is also the Tachikui area in Konda-cho, known as the hometown of Tamba Pottery, one of the Six Ancient Kilns in Japan.
We are holding the ‘Dress Up and Come On Over! Tambasasayama Kimono Walking Campaign’ where you can enjoy the atmosphere of a Japanese Hometown even more by strolling through the entire city in traditional Japanese attire.
Not just kimono, but all traditional Japanese costumes are welcomed.
Japanese-style clothing includes not only Kimono but also Yukata, Samue, Jinbei, Hakama, and Noragi, which is workwear for farming. When you visit any of the participating 17 shops in Tambasasayama wearing traditional Japanese attire, you can receive certain benefits or discounts from those shops.
