Tambasasayama Wild Boar Spring Festival
2026/02/28

Tambasasayama Wild Boar Spring Festival — A Journey of Flavors, Pottery, and People —

“Botan-nabe” (Wild Boar Hot Pot), a traditional dish of Tambasasayama, has been certified as a “100-Year Food*” by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
*A prestigious certification for local food cultures that should be preserved for the next century. Wild boar combined with local seasonal specialties, grown in the area’s rich natural environment, prepared using recipes passed down for generations—a true local treasure found only here in Tambasasayama.

This event showcases Tambasasayama’s food and culture to a global audience, highlighting our traditional “Botan-nabe” and diverse wild boar cuisine. Our goal is to share the “authentic essence of Tambasasayama.”

Experience our castle town’s heritage, rural scenery, and the deep history of our community through this unique initiative. As part of the Tambasasayama World Expo, we are collaborating with local businesses to create a new sense of vibrancy where people connect through the joy of food. Come and experience the charm of Tambasasayama, a culinary destination where tradition and innovation meet.
