Guest House Taos
An inn by a river in the castle town, where you can feel the richness of life.
Tambasasayama was a strategic point of transportation from Kyoto and Osaka to the San-in region which prospered during the Edo period (1600-1868). The streets were lined with merchant houses and inns the Taos building was one of those. It maintained its original appearance as an inn for more than 100 years from its original construction. The building was reimagined as the Taos Guest House, keeping the warmth of the inn as much as possible without losing its original appearance. The Taos Guest House incorporated the work of local craftsmen to create the inn with a unique Tambasasayama atmosphere while the rooms were renovated to a modern style to meet the needs of today’s guests.
We hope you will enjoy the seasonal changes of the babbling brook in front the inn, the singing of birds, and the cherry blossom trees in the garden.
The Taos Guest House is equipped with a bathtub made of cypress, a large kitchen, and a washing machine so that guests can comfortably spend their times for long stays.
Our staff will be happy to assist you in making your trip a pleasant one.
