【Nishiki Rhododendron Festival  for 2021 is canceled】

*Rhododendron (shakunage) are called the Emperor of flowering trees and shrubs because they have gorgeous blooms and beautiful flowers
This event allows you to fully enjoy the soft spring air and the bright blooming rhododendron flowers.

 

Approximately 1,000 Japanese and Western rhododendrons are exhibited and sold. There are competitive exhibitions, distribution of rhododendron seedlings, and cultivation classes.

There is also entertainment and attractions.

Access by train and bus Take the train to the JR Sasayamaguchi Station, go out the west exit, and ride the bus to the Miyata bus stop. The event is close by.
Access by car Take the Tannan Sasayamaguchi Exit from the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway, it is about a 5-minute (3 km) drive from the exit on route 176.
