Odagaki Shoten

A long-established black soybean wholesale store founded in 1734.

The 10 buildings on the premises of the head office from the late Edo period to the early Taisho period are nationally registered tangible cultural properties.

A complex facility of a shop that sells beans such as Tamba black soybeans and Tamba Dainagon azuki beans and original products, and a café [Odagaki Mamedo] that offers black soybean tea, Tamba chestnut Mont Blanc, and roast beef open sand of Sasayama beef was reopened after renovation in April 2021.

It has been reborn as the epicenter of the Tamba Sasayama culture, to transmit the splendor of Tamba black soybeans and the inheritance of black soybean culture.

Hiroshi Sugimoto, a world-renowned contemporary artist, and Tomoyuki Sakakida, an architect, are presiding over the [New Materials Research Institute], which designs cafes and gardens.
