Ojiyama Makekirai Inari Shrine Setsubun Star Festival [Ojiyama Makekirai Inari Shrine]
Ojiyama Park overlooks the castle town of Sasayama below and is famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. The shrine is located in a corner of the park and is known as the god of victory protection. The “Himyo Godan Prayer Meeting” will be dedicated to pray for good fortune and great victory from noon (for a fee), and at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., a grand “Fuku-mame-maki” (lucky bean throwing) ceremony will be held. Free zenzai (Japanese red bean soup) will be served to visitors. (Free zenzai serving will end when all the zenzai is gone.)

Access (by train and bus) | Go to Sasayamaguchi Station on the JR Fukuchiyama Line, take a bus to the Kami Tatsumachi bus stop. From the bus stop, it is a 5-minute walk to the Ojiyama (Makekirai) Inari Shrine. |
