Opened in August 2015 along Prefectural Road 292 in Tambasasayama, Tama no Suke is a specialty store where you can eat the classic Japanese home food, Tamago kake gohan (raw eggs on top of the cooked rice), with Tamba’s special ingredients. The fresh eggs of local cage-free chickens have rich taste. The chicken are raised with particular attention to food and few in quantities, therefore the eggs are very precious. Crack the eggs on freshly cooked Koshihikari brand rice from Tamba and add the original soy sauce blended especially for this dish to make the finest Tamago kake gohan(rice with raw egg)! You can’t miss the Dashi-maki (Japanese omelet) which is cooked using the same eggs, and the seasonal dishes made with local ingredients. They are both served with very reasonable prices. You can enjoy Tamago kake gohan here, which is a simple dish but you can taste the flavor of carefully selected ingredients.
